The National Social Protection Authority (NSPA) is a new agency in Sierra Leone established by the Social Protection Act of 2024 to coordinate the country’s social protection programs. Its mandate is to streamline existing social support initiatives from both government and private sectors, address the needs of vulnerable populations, and implement the National Social Protection Strategy 2022-2026. The NSPA’s establishment aims to reduce poverty and promote social equity by creating a more unified and efficient system for social welfare
